Lightroom 3 - Second beta for download
Adobe has ushered in the second round of beta for the new version 3 of the familiar Adobe Lightroom. The second publicly available test version should be much faster and was equipped with additional new features.
New is support for video files. So that the development was taken into account that the most camera models are equipped with a corresponding absorption feature. Was also revised the import dialog, which now shows all subfolders of a selected directory and allows a preview by clicking on the images included. Improvements to the program itself should speed up the import and load the images clearly.
By professional photographers long expected and now first implemented in the beta 2 is the "tethered shooting" function. angesprochen und ferngesteuert. Here, the camera via USB or FireWire is directly addressed by Lightroom and remotely. In addition to a direct import from the camera functions are therefore also possible that were previously possible only with manufacturers programs (remote triggering, image preview, etc.). Have been significantly reworked the image processing functions. Besides minor changes in the functions for trimming, watermark or vignetting, A new method Demosaik get the details, texture and sharpness of the better noise reduction. Also new is that now dominates the noise reduction and the reduction of luminance noise. Already the first beta version of Lightroom 3 resulted in considerable improvement of the color noise over version 2.6.
The Adobe Lightroom 3 Beta 2 can be downloaded for free from Adobe. A license is needed to do that. Detailed descriptions of all changes and improvements (in English) can be removed from the release notes for the current beta.
